About Me

“Herb is the healing of a nation …” — Bob Marley

Hello there!

I have a brief story to tell. It concerns my journey with health and wellbeing. I have experienced many ups and downs regarding my wellbeing. While some people seem to never have seen the inside of a hospital, hospital and doctor visits were the theme of my childhood. With this personal account and the blog in general, I hope to win you over to the use of cannabis for medicinal purposes.

A story of my health…

I have struggled with my health for most of my life. There is a vivid memory from early childhood at a time when I had asthma. I was laying on the couch, half-conscious, and was struggling to breathe. I remember relatives comfort me. To me that memory represents the theme of my wellbeing throughout my childhood: so sick sometimes I could barely even stand on my own two feet.
What followed for the next several years were frequent visits to healthcare practitioners who specialised in different areas. To improve my health, I was exposed to various schools of medical thought. First and foremost, Western medicine was the obvious approach and it has dominated how I have been treated for various ailments. Second to Western medicine were traditional approaches, which were not explored exhaustively, to be honest. Third was the religious/spiritual approach to health and wellness.

Fast-forward to the 2020s, I am grateful to be healthy as a horse. I don’t know exactly which treatment(s) worked best, or at what point it all worked, but it got better. And I am grateful to be healthier in adulthood than ever before.

There are other options…

Be it asthma and related respiratory conditions, stomach aches, sensitive skin, ocular issues, persistent general anxiety, or migraines, I definitely would have had an easier time managing the symptoms of my conditions had cannabis not been stigmatised. The reputation of cannabis as a legitimate form of medicine has been marred by scandal, speculation, shame … you name it.

I discovered later in life (my twenties) that cannabis is not some kind of “narcotic drug”. It is one of the most versatile plants in the world, used not only for medicinal purposes, but also for industrial purposes (in the form of help) to make rope, textiles, clothing, paper, and so on… While I cannot assert that cannabis products can cure any ailments, they have been widely and consistently reported to endow therapeutic benefits to those who seek to ameliorate symptoms of other diseases, disorders, syndromes, and the like.

Ultimately, I want people to know that cannabis is a more accessible and cheaper form of medicine than drugs produced by Big Pharma (pending further scientific investigation, of course).

Demystify cannabis … heal the world

The goal of this website is to demystify cannabis (or whatever you’d like to call it) by providing fresh and reliable information via thoroughly researched articles. It is hoped that, with time, our educational resources will contribute to the overall destigmatisation of cannabis within our society.
In recent years, I have used cannabis products (i.e. CBD) to rein in my anxiety (which I have struggled with my entire life), boost my appetite, decrease the frequency of my migraines, etc. Further desktop research led me to a myriad uses of the plant for the benefit of mankind and animals alike.

So whether you wish to know about the differences between cannabis, marijuana, and hemp, the extensive uses and benefits of the plant, cannabis legislation, or how to think about dosage of CBD, this is the educational resource for you.

Lastly, if you ever need to chat or have any questions about all things cannabis, feel free to leave them below and we can take it from there.

Cheers!
